• The room has 1 double bed, 2 single beds, and 1 large sofa bed.

History of Room 706

The walls were cleaned using a tool resembling a geologist's fine and pointed chisels.
Smooth surfaces aid in the oxidation process and allow the stone to harden.
A smooth surface tends to collect moisture, leading to peeling or flaking.
The walls were constructed this way centuries ago.
The bed in the room, working desk, wardrobe doors, and window frames were crafted in the on-site carpentry workshop. The stones used for restoration were also dimensioned on-site.

Since MDC Hotel is located in a heritage area, we have taken care to maintain the original dimensions of the rooms.

You will notice drilled holes in the ceilings of all bathrooms and some other rooms. These increase the necessary air circulation for the preservation of cave surfaces. Without ventilation, moisture can accumulate, causing damage to walls and ceilings.

Construction began in October 2009. By February 2011, the area to the left of the stairs leading to the reception, the restaurant to the left of the stairs, all rooms extending to the right from the reception and stairs were completed and made ready for opening. The construction of a total of 22 rooms and common areas took 2 years. At one point during construction, 70 workers were employed daily on the site to provide guests with a more comfortable and pleasant environment without compromising the original cave structure of our hotel.
