Features of Room 301

• The room has 1 double bed. It can be used as 2 separate single beds upon request.
• Maximum capacity is 2 people.
• All the rooms in our hotel have a jacuzzi.
• There is a seating area in the room.
• Additionally, the room is equipped with an electric kettle, TV, air conditioning, complimentary water, slippers, toiletry basket, safe box, telephone, minibar, hairdryer, and wifi.
• We offer complimentary wake-up service.
• The room has underfloor heating system.

History of Room 301

Room 301 features three primary colors of Cappadocia's volcanic rock. The strongest is pink, followed by yellow, and then the weakest being white.
Rooms from 206 to 303 were predominantly made of white stone. Most of the ceilings in this area needed reinforcement or reconstruction. You will notice the niches used to feed the bedroom animals. The bathroom was originally the bedroom of Room 206. The bedroom of Room 206 is now the bedroom of Room 302. We really needed to reconfigure the four rooms in this area.

The walls were cleaned using a tool resembling a geologist's thin and pointed chisel.
Rough surfaces aid in the oxidation process and allow the stone to harden.
A smooth surface tends to collect moisture, leading to peeling or flaking.
The walls were constructed in this manner hundreds of years ago.
The bed, desk, wardrobe doors, and window frames in the room were made in the carpentry workshop on-site. The stones used for restoration were also dimensioned in the field.

As MDC Hotel is located in a heritage area, we took care to maintain the original dimensions of the rooms.

You will notice open holes in the ceilings of all bathrooms and some other rooms. These increase the necessary air circulation to preserve the cave surfaces. Without ventilation, moisture accumulates, and walls and ceilings can deteriorate.

Construction began in October 2009. The restaurant to the left of the stairs leading to the reception, and the area to the left of the restaurant, the reception, stairs, and all rooms extending to the right were completed and made ready for opening by February 2011. The construction of a total of 22 rooms and common areas lasted for 2 years. At one point, 70 workers were working daily on the construction site to offer our guests a more comfortable and welcoming environment without compromising the original cave structure of our hotel.
