• The room has 1 double bed, 1 single bed, and 1 large couch.

• The room has underfloor heating.

History of Room 703

The walls were cleaned using a tool resembling a geologist's fine and pointed picks.
Smooth surfaces assist in the oxidation process and allow the stone to harden.
A smooth surface tends to collect moisture, leading to peeling or flaking.
The walls were constructed this way hundreds of years ago.
The bed in the room, work desk, wardrobe doors, and window frames were crafted in the workshop on site. The stones used in the restoration were also cut to size on the premises.

As MDC Hotel is located in a heritage area, we took care to keep the rooms in their original dimensions.

You will notice open holes on the ceilings of all bathrooms and some other rooms. These increase the necessary air circulation to preserve cave surfaces. Without ventilation, moisture accumulates, leading to deterioration of walls and ceilings.

Construction began in October 2009. The area to the left of the stairs leading to the reception, the restaurant to the left of the reception, and all rooms stretching to the right from the stairs were completed and made ready for opening in February 2011. The construction of a total of 22 rooms and common areas took 2 years. In order to offer our guests a more comfortable and pleasant environment without compromising the original cave structure of our hotel, once 70 workers were working on site daily.
