Features of Room 514

• The room has 1 double bed and 1 wide sofa bed. Optionally, it can be used as 2 single beds.
• Maximum occupancy is 2 people.
• All of our hotel rooms have a jacuzzi.
• There is a seating area inside the room and in front of the door.
• In the room, there are also an electric kettle, television, air conditioning, complimentary water, slippers, basket of toiletries, safe box, telephone, minibar, hairdryer, and wifi.
• We offer a complimentary wake-up service.
• The room has underfloor heating system.

History of Room 514

The walls were cleaned using a tool resembling the fine and pointed picks of a geologist.
Rough surfaces aid in the oxidation process and allow the stone to harden.
A smooth surface tends to collect moisture and leads to peeling or chipping.
The walls were constructed in this manner hundreds of years ago.
The bed in the room, the desk, wardrobe doors, and window frames were made in the carpenter's workshop on site. The stones used for restoration were also dimensioned on site.

As MDC Hotel is located in a heritage area, we took care to keep the rooms in their original size.

You will notice drilled holes in the ceilings of all bathrooms and some other rooms. These enhance the necessary air circulation for the preservation of cave surfaces. Without ventilation, moisture accumulates, and walls and ceilings can deteriorate.

Construction began in October 2009. The area to the left of the stairs leading to the reception, the restaurant, and the area to the left of the restaurant, all the rooms leading off the reception and extending to the right were completed and made ready for opening in February 2011. The construction of a total of 22 rooms and common areas took 2 years to complete. Without compromising our hotel's original cave structure, once upon a time, 70 workers were daily working on the site to provide our guests with a more comfortable and pleasant environment.
