Features of Room 306

• The room has 2 single beds and 1 couch.
• Maximum capacity is 2 persons.
• All rooms in our hotel have a jacuzzi.
• There is a seating area inside the room and in front of the door.
• Additionally, the room is equipped with an electric kettle, television, air conditioning, complimentary water, slippers, toiletries basket, safe box, telephone, minibar, hairdryer, and wifi.
• We provide a complimentary wake-up service.
• The room has underfloor heating system.

History of Room 306

The walls were cleaned using a tool resembling a geologist's fine and pointed pick.
Purified surfaces aid in the oxidation process and allow the stone to harden.
A smooth surface tends to collect moisture and causes peeling or flaking.
The walls were constructed in this way hundreds of years ago.
The bed in the room, work desk, wardrobe doors, and window frames were crafted in the carpentry workshop on site. The stones used for restoration were also dimensioned in the field.

Due to MDC Hotel being located in a heritage area, we took care to keep the rooms in their original size.

You will notice drilled holes in the ceilings of all bathrooms and some other rooms. These increase the necessary air circulation for the preservation of cave surfaces. Without ventilation, moisture collects and walls and ceilings can deteriorate.

Construction started in October 2009. The area to the left of the stairs leading to the reception, the restaurant to the left of the stairs, the reception, all completed rooms extending to the right, and made ready for opening in February 2011. The construction of a total of 22 rooms and common areas lasted for 2 years. At one point, 70 workers were working daily on the construction site to provide our guests with a more comfortable and cozy environment without compromising the original cave structure of our hotel.
