Features of Room 206

• The room has 1 double bed, which can also be used as 2 single beds upon request.
• Maximum capacity is 2 people.
• All rooms in our hotel have a jacuzzi.
• There is a seating area inside the room.
• Additionally, the room is equipped with an electric kettle, television, air conditioning, complimentary water, slippers, toiletry basket, safe box, telephone, minibar, hairdryer, and wifi.
• We offer a complimentary wake-up service.
• The room has underfloor heating system.

History of Room 206

The walls were cleaned using a tool resembling a geologist's fine and pointed shovels.
Purified surfaces aid in the oxidation process and allow the stone to harden.
An impure surface tends to collect moisture and leads to peeling or flaking.
The walls were made this way centuries ago.
The bed in the room, the work desk, wardrobe doors, and window frames were made in the carpentry workshop on-site. The stones used for restoration were also dimensioned in the field.

Since MDC Hotel is located in a heritage area, we have taken care to keep the rooms in their original size.

You will notice drilled holes in the ceilings of all bathrooms and some other rooms. These increase the necessary air circulation to preserve the cave surfaces. Without ventilation, moisture accumulates, and walls and ceilings can deteriorate.

Construction began in October 2009. The area to the left of the stairs leading to the reception, the restaurant to the left of the reception, and all rooms extending to the right of the stairs were completed and prepared for opening in February 2011. The construction of a total of 22 rooms and common areas took 2 years. At one time, 70 workers were working daily at the construction site to provide our guests with a more comfortable and pleasant environment without compromising the original cave structure of our hotel.
