Features of Room 201

• The room has 1 double bed, 1 single bed, and 1 sofa bed.
• Room 201 has a fireplace.
• Maximum 3 people can stay.
• All rooms in our hotel have a jacuzzi.
• There is a seating area inside the room and in front of the door.
• Additionally, the room is equipped with an electric kettle, TV, air conditioning, free water, slippers, toiletry basket, safe box, telephone, minibar, hairdryer, and wifi.
• We offer a free wake-up service.
• The room has underfloor heating system.

History of Room 201

The walls were cleaned using a tool resembling the fine, pointed pickaxes of a geologist.
Purified surfaces aid in the oxidation process and allow the stone to harden.
A smooth surface tends to collect moisture and causes peeling or flaking.
The walls were built in this way hundreds of years ago.
The bed in the room, work desk, wardrobe doors, and window frames were all made in the on-site carpentry workshop. The stones used for restoration were also cut to size on site.

Since MDC Hotel is located in a heritage area, we took care to keep the rooms in their original dimensions.

You will notice drilled holes in the ceilings of all bathrooms and some other rooms. These increase the necessary air circulation to preserve the cave surfaces. Without ventilation, moisture can build up, causing damage to the walls and ceilings.

Construction began in October 2009. The restaurant to the left of the stairs leading to the reception, and the area to the left of the restaurant, including the reception and all rooms extending to the right, were completed and prepared for opening in February 2011. Construction of a total of 22 rooms and common areas lasted for 2 years. To provide our guests with a more comfortable and pleasant environment without disrupting the original cave structure of our hotel, at one time, 70 workers were working on-site daily.
