Room 513 Features

• The room has 1 double bed and 1 large divan. Optionally, it can also be used as 2 single beds.
• Maximum capacity is 2 people.

History of Room 513

Rooms 512, 513, and 514 had no roofs or front walls. Arches were used to provide great support systems to preserve the Greek architecture. The first room in two-room design was actually a combined service room and stable. The current bathroom used to be a bedroom. You can benefit from walking in the valley behind your room. Just take your chair outside, grab a drink, and watch the sunset!

The walls were cleaned using a tool resembling a geologist's thin and sharp-edged picks.
Purified surfaces help in the oxidation process and allow the stone to harden.
A smooth surface tends to collect moisture and causes peeling or crumbling.
The walls were constructed in this way hundreds of years ago.
The bed, desk, wardrobe doors, and window frames in the room were made in the carpentry workshop on site. The stones used for restoration were also dimensioned on site.

MDC Hotel is located in a heritage area, so we took care to keep the rooms in their original size.

You will notice drilled holes in the ceilings of all bathrooms and some other rooms. These increase the necessary air circulation to preserve the cave surfaces. Without ventilation, moisture accumulates, and walls and ceilings can deteriorate.

Construction began in October 2009. The restaurant on the left of the stairs leading to the reception and the area to the left of the restaurant, all the rooms accessed by the reception and extending to the right were completed and made ready for opening in February 2011. Construction of a total of 22 rooms and common areas took 2 years. To provide our guests with a more comfortable and cozy environment without compromising the original cave structure of our hotel, once there were 70 workers working on-site daily.
